Psalm 23- Part#9 - "Good Food In High Places"(Sunday service)
1The Lord is my shepherd, I shall lack nothing. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake, 4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rid and your staff, they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
`You prepare a table before me’”
What we can Learn as God’s little lambs:
- Like little lambs we somehow feel we have to try everything that we see.
We have to taste this thing and that, trying everything to see what it`s like.
Bible example of this in
Luke 22:31-32
“Simon Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
*Take heed of the Good Shepherds warnings in your life!!
- The good Shepherd also looks ahead for predators. He will look for signs of wolves, wild dogs,
mountain lions. If they attack...the Shepherd hunts them down. so that his flock can rest in peace.
*At all times we would be wise to walk a little closer to Christ. - The Shepherd clears out the water holes, and drinking places for his sheep. What is blocking your life and keeping you from being refreshed by Jesus??
- Be alert so you can recognize and adjust to Shepherd`s plans for your life. Stop trying to figure everything out! & follow Him!
Philippians 1:6
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
